Hysteria Evil Choir – performing Hop Tu Naa in October 2025

Be part of the Isle of Man’s newest and strangest choir as we summon demonic powers, welcome a ghostly spirit, and settle into a meditative hive-mind of group singing.

Our vocal arrangements are written in mostly 3 part choral harmony (with or without a soloist) and are exclusive to Hysteria Evil Choir – this includes warm ups based on The Crucible, Jane Eyre, Sylvia Plath and Nosferatu. Our creative director chooses a song as a starting point for each piece, strips it down to the bare bones of the melody & lyrics, and rebuilds it into a new choral creation. Rehearsals are the first time these arrangements are heard live, so singers become part of the creative process while we devise the finished piece – singing, screaming, fake blood and all.

We’re holding choral workshops this summer to bring performers together for a very special, very sinister evening of music & horror later in the year. We’re looking for group singers, existing trios and quartets, dramatic speakers and instrumentalists. Look over the sheet music HERE to find out more.

Our 3 all-day summer workshops are 10am to 4pm (including breaks) at Erin Arts Centre in Port Erin. Singers will be asked to familiarise themselves with the music in advance so we can jump in straight away. Please note – this project is not appropriate for children so singers must be 18 or over, unless given special permission.
