* SOLD OUT * Port Erin Jazz Festival 2023 (Friday 6th) – Robin Nolan Trio / support from Blue Train Big Band

October 6 @ 7:30 pm

Those hazy September days on the beach are stretching out towards autumn and there’s jazz in the air! The Port Erin Jazz Festival is back for a third instalment with a thrilling and eclectic lineup. Tickets will fly so get them quick!

The festival opens at the Erin Arts Centre on Friday 6th October with local heroes, the Blue Train Big Band who set the place alight last year supporting Martin Taylor. Expect Hawaiian shirts and slick, dynamic interpretations of modern big band tunes, guaranteed to get your feet moving. If you haven’t seen them yet, you need to!

Robin Nolan is one of the world’s best known and most admired gypsy jazz guitarists and has been praised for his musical genius and creativity by Willie Nelson, Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman, and the late George Harrison. Robin became one of George Harrison’s favorite guitarists and his upcoming album will be released on Harrison’s label, Dark Horse records. Legendary in the Django Reinhardt world, Robin has headlined every major gypsy jazz festival across the globe & Nolan’s music is taking gypsy jazz into the 21st Century beyond Django Reinhardt and incorporating influences of The Beatles, Ravi Shankar and AC/DC.
