The Piano Series returns in fine style with a recital and masterclass here at EAC by outstanding Romanian pianist George Todică.

The evening’s Piano Series guest, outstanding Romanian pianist George Todica, will give a free masterclass playing excerpts from and discussing his programme for the evening recital. This will include works by Chopin, R Schumann, Rachmaninov and Enescu.  This is an ideal opportunity for aspiring pianists to meet and observe a young professional at the top of his craft. Tell all your keyboard playing friends!

George made his Wigmore Hall debut in October 2018 as a Tillett Trust Young Artist. His recent competition success include winner of the Royal Over-Seas League Keyboard Prize  2022, 2nd Prize at the George Enescu Piano Competition 2022, 1st Prizes at the Norah Sande Award in England, Stefano Marizza Piano Competition in Italy, the Moray Piano Competition in Scotland, the Llangollen International Eisteddfod in Wales, 2nd prize at the International Piano Campus Competition in France, and 3rd Prize at the International Piano Competition Istanbul.


George had his orchestral debut at the age of 14, with the Moldova Philharmonic Iasi, and has been performing as a soloist with the European Union Chamber Orchestra, New Edinburgh Orchestra, the Istanbul Orchestra’Sion, Huntingdonshire Philharmonic, Cambridge Graduate Orchestra, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Chamber Orchestra, Cergy Pontoise Orchestra Paris, The Learig Orchestra and Stewart’s Melville College Orchestra.


He completed an Artist Diploma degree from the Royal College of Music in 2019 studying with Norma Fisher, and a Masters of Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2017, studying with Norman Beedie and Jonathan Plowright.
