Our half-term film is one of the year’s most eagerly anticipated animated features, as Peter Brown’s much-loved novel gets turned into a dazzling big-screen film for all ages.
The film follows Roz (Lupita Nyong’o), a service robot shipwrecked on an uninhabited island who must adapt to her surroundings, build relationships with the local wildlife, and become the adoptive mother of an orphaned goose, Brightbill (Kit Connor).
Clever, heartfelt and frequently stunning, The Wild Robot will delight kids, make them think, and leave a lump in your throat. It delivers on the promise of all classic animated features: to express universal truths – love that defies logic, feelings that come from places we don’t understand and the bittersweet bargain of letting someone go so they can flourish.
Spectacular and thought provoking. A must for all the family!
