Celto-Viking Art: Manx Warrior Women

See this incredible, hand-carved wooden post, standing 8 feet tall, on the last stop of it’s island tour!

This piece was created to commemorate the memory of the brave women who stormed into danger at the 1098 Battle of Santwat near Peel.

It will be displayed in the Erin Arts Centre foyer for just one week – Tuesday 7th to Friday 10th May, available between 10am and 4.30pm (free entry).

You can also catch it during our events on the evenings of Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May before it is whisked away to be installed on a staircase.
