Update 19/11/25: Good news for all those people disappointed by our forced cancellation of this excellent film. We’ve found a gap in the calendar and reprogrammed for Wednesday 26th 7.30pm. Evening show only. Once again, apologies but hopefully a happy ending!
Update 18/11/25: Unfortunately, through no fault of our own, the licensing company have been unable to provide us with a copy of ‘Ballad of Wallis Island’ in good time. We therefore have no option but to cancel both screenings. We are really sorry for the inconvenience and will be issuing full refunds for all tickets purchased.
Adults £8 / under 18s £2
The Ballad Of Wallis Island follows Charles (Tim Key), an eccentric lottery winner who dreams of getting his favorite musicians, McGwyer Mortimer (Tom Basden & Carey Mulligan) back together. His fantasy turns into reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show at his home on the remote Wallis Island. Old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig.
James Griffiths’ unfussy direction allow Mulligan, Basden and Key to shine in this poignant and comical exploration of music, loss, nostalgia and hope.
