Weekend courses
Fees for courses held at weekends include an element for light refreshments during morning and afternoon breaks. Lunch breaks normally run from 1-2.15pm, though this may vary; many people like to bring packed lunches and there will be facilities for making hot drinks.
Accreditation
Some courses offer credits which can be accumulated towards a University qualification. Unless otherwise indicated, the credits are at Level 1, the equivalent of a first-year University degree course. Accreditation is a structured programme of learning building on the University’s liberal adult education programme. Credits reflect time spent in formal course sessions and private study time. Assessment is normally by a continuous process rather than a final examination. Credits can be put towards a University Certificate or Diploma, or, ultimately, a degree. They also provide evidence of educational achievement to an employer, and can form part of a record of personal and professional development.
